Antoine Blanchard (1910-1988) was born in Loire valley of France and studied at the Ecole des Beau Arts in the 1930s. He returned to Paris after WW2 and was one of the "Paris School" of painters, known for luminous street scenes of Paris during the "Belle Epoch" of the late 1800s.
