Alexander C. MacIntosh "Acee Blue Eagle" (1909-1959) was born in Oklahoma to a Creek-Scottish family, related to prominent Creek Chieftains. He studied art at Oklahoma University and gained national fame as a painter and muralist. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW2 and returned to Oklahoma to live and work at the Oklahoma State Technical Institute in Okmulgee until his death aged 49, at the height of his career.
